Trekker’s Resources

Itinerary

    • Day 1: Cusco → Soraypampa (Humantay Lake). Sleep at ~3,900m.

    • Day 2: Soraypampa → Salkantay Pass → Collpapampa.

      • The "Big Day." Hike 22km. Sleep at Salkantay lodge collpapampa to recover.

    • Day 3:Collpapampa → Lucmabamba.

      • Jungle Hike. Stop at Samir lodge for a Coffee Tour and for lunch. Optional: Hot Springs.

    • Day 4:Lucmabamba → Llactapata Ruins → Aguas Calientes.

    • Day 5: Machu Picchu → Cusco.

    • Day 1: Cusco → Soraypampa (Humantay Lake).

    • Day 2: Soraypampa → Salkantay Pass → Collpapampa.

      • End the hardest day at Salkantay lodge collpapampa

    • Day 3:Collpapampa → Lucmabamba (Lunch/Coffee) → Hydroelectric → Aguas Calientes.

      • Hike to Lucmabamba for Coffee Tour, then take a car/train to Aguas Calientes.

    • Day 4: Machu Picchu → Cusco.

    • Day 1: Cusco → Soraypampa → Salkantay Pass → Collpapampa.

      • A brutal 10-12 hour day. Do not include the Humantay lake in your plans.

    • Day 2: CollpapampaLucmabamba → Hydroelectric → Aguas Calientes.

      • After an early breakfast hike to Lucmabamba and take a taxi to hydroelectric and hike the last 10km to Aguas Calientes.

    • Day 3: Machu Picchu → Cusco.
